Carnival 2009
Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th July
Celebrated with the traditional pomp and ceremony which has made the event famous throughout North Wales & England, Prestatyn hosted its annual Carnival on the third weekend in July.

Once on the Carnival field, a host of varied attractions and a giant funfair supported four arenas offering a mix of modern and traditional entertainment for the whole family.

Continuing the fun, Sunday was no exception and the newly introduced events were a great success.
The Dream Mile
Organised in association with Cash Converters in aid of "Dreams Come True", the Mayor and Consort of Prestatyn joined the Prestatyn Carnival Royal Family and supporters from local businesses and voluntary groups in completing a mile around the Carnival field. Raising £1280 in sponsorship, the money will be used to help make the dreams of terminally ill children come true.
Dance Performance 2009
Newly introduced this year, over 21 routines competed for the "dreams come true" trophy and the £50 1st prize kindly sponsored by Cash Converters.
The eventual winner was Erin Davies from Kinmel Bay.
The Big Lunch
As part of the Nationwide Party to "Put a Smile Back on the Face of Britain", the Mayor of Prestatyn, Cllr Gerry Frobisher hosted "The Big Lunch".
Prestatyn Baby, Child and Teen of the Year
The ever popular Annual Baby Show again had a make over this year with new categories introduced for older children and teenagers.
The competition was judged by the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Prestatyn, together with Miss Prestatyn Lauren Knowles.

Performamania
Performamania provided a fantastic end to the weekend when young talent from the surrounding area took to the Stage to entertain.
